Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2013, GATE 2013
GATE is an all India examination that mainly tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering and Technology. Indian Institute of Science and seven IITs jointly conducts GATE Exam. The seven IITs include IIT Guwahati, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, and IIT Roorkee. GATE is conducted on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Government of India.
The GATE Score is very important for the candidates as it reflects the relative performance level of a candidate. The GATE score of the candidate is used for admissions in various PG programmes for example M.E., M.Tech, direct Ph.D in Indian higher education institutes with financial assistance provided by MHRD and other Government agencies. The GATE score may also be used by Public sector units for employment screening purposes.
Note to the Candidates appearing for GATE 2013
Candidates must be sure of the below details before filling the application for GATE:
1. Check the eligibility for GATE 2013.
2. Decide on the GATE Paper you wish you appear for (You can appear in only one paper for GATE 2013).
3. Need to select at least two cities that are convenient for you to write the exam.
GATE 2013 Application have to be made online only.
Once you chose your exam paper then it will determine the (online/offline) Examination type, date, and choice of available cities.

GATE 2013 Results Online
Please note that the GATE 2013 results will be announced on March 15, 2013 at 10:00 hrs. GATE Results 2013 will be available on the GATE Online Applicant Website.
Candidates also note that GATE 2013 score will be valid for only TWO YEARS from the date of announcement of the results.
