If you have completed your 10+2 or are appearing for the exam and more importantly you are a courageous boy you can join the Indian Air Force by applying for National Defence Academy Exam or NDA
If you are short-listed for Indian Air Force through NDA Exam there will be an initial selection procedure including interview and after final selection you would go through a rigorous three-year training regimen at the National Defence Academy at Khadakwasla. After training at the NDA you will go through a specialised training at one of the training establishment. After successful completion the candidates are commissioned as Permanent Commission Officers and posted as pilots at any of the Air Force Stations.
Joining NDA National Defence Academy
Union Public Service Commission UPSC conducts NDA exam twice a year. The examination centers for NDA Exam include all major cities throughout India.
Eligibility Criteria for NDA Exam
Age Limit- 16 ½ to 19 years(at the time of commencement of course)
Nationality - Indian
Gender - Men only
Educational Qualifications for NDA- 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics. Please note that appearing final year students can also eligible to apply.
