If you feel you have it in you and you are enthusiastic and passionate about serving the nations then you have the option to join Indian Air Force after 10+2 . For joining IAF you simply need to  apply for NDA Exam ( National Defence Academy)

After you qualify the written examination of NDA you would be called for further assessment and interview. Candidates, short-listed for Indian Air Force after the initial selection procedure, go through a rigorous three-year training regimen at the National Defence Academy at Khadakwasla, followed by specialised training at one of the training establishment. Thereafter, they are Commissioned as Permanent Commission Officers and posted as pilots at any of the Air Force Stations.

You can join NDA by taking the exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). This exam is conducted twice a year in all major cities throughout India.

Candidates who wish to join India Air Force as Airman please note that there is a Airmen Selection Board in India with centers spread all over India which are responsible for the selection and enrolment of Airman posts. The selection is carried out through 14 Airmen Selection Centers all across India. The Airmen selection centers are under the direct functional control of CASB with Admin control and support by respective Air Commands.

Subsequent to successful completion of trade training, the airmen will be deployed on ground based jobs as per their allotted trades.

Selection Procedure for Airmen Recruitment 2014 in Indian Air Force

Candidates enthusiastic to join as an Airman in Indian Air Force please note that the selection to this post is conducted either through All India Selection Tests or through the Airmen Recruitment Rallies.

Airmen Selection Centers or ASCs are responsible for conducting All India Selection Tests at various centers located all over India as per schedule. While the Recruitment Rallies for the Airmen are carried out from time to time in selected areas/regions of particular States/Union Territories of the country.

All India Selection Tests (STs) for Airmen in IAF:  As mentioned above that ASCs conducts the STs after the notifications and  advertisements are published in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar. Applications are invited from the eligible candidates in the advertisements for All India Selection Tests (STs).

The eligible male Indian Citizens (including the citizens of Nepal) are invited to forward their application to the President, Central Airmen Selection Board, Post Box No. 11807, New Delhi –110 010. The Board after scrutinizing the applications sends Admit Cards to eligible and short-listed candidates to appear in the Selection Tests.

Airmen Recruitment Rallies: The Selection Board also gives recruitment notifications and advertisements for Rallies. In the advertisements which are published in leading local and national newspapers you get all the details of eligibility conditions, selection programme and rally venue in your region/area of the rally.

Please note that for the Airmen in Indian Air Force rally recruitment, eligible candidates are to report to the rally venue with the essential documents. These documents will be examined and verified by the Testing Team.

AIRMEN RECRUITMENT 2014 - SELECTION PROCEDURE

Interested candidates may note that you need to appear for an all India test conducted by IAF or by Recruitment Rallies of IAF

IAF conducts the All India Selection Tests  at the Airmen Selection Centres (ASCs) mentioned above as per schedule. 

You may also like to know about the recruitment rallies in Air Force. The notification is given by IAF from time to time and the rallies are conducted in selected areas/regions of particular States/Union Territories of the country.

All India Selection Tests (STs) for Airmen recruitment:  IAF invite applications from the eligible candidates from time to time. You should know that the notifications and advertisements for recruitment is published in major news papers and Employment News/Rozgar Samachar inviting the applications for All India Selection Tests (STs).

 Read the advertisement carefully and send the applications (All male Indian Citizens (including the citizens of Nepal)  to the President, Central Airmen Selection Board, Post Box No. 11807, New Delhi -110 010. 

The Board will scrutinize the applications and the send admit cards to eligible and short-listed candidates to appear in the Selection Tests.
