The Railway Recruitment Board Chennai is engaged in recruiting staff for different units of Railways according to the requirement. RRB Chennai was earlier Railway Service Commission and in 1985 renamed to Railway Recruitment Board. RRB Chennai falls under the Ministry of Railways and functions under over all supervision of the RRCB or Railway Recruitment Control Board, Railway Board New Delhi.
The most important aim of the RRB Chennai is to recruit and make available the right kind of manpower at the right time to the different units of the Railways as per their requirements.
With these objectives in view, the RRB Chennai is at the moment catering to the recruitment needs of the following Divisions/Units. RRCB Chennai recruits skilled staff for various Group C posts in the Railways
It is now recruiting working and supervisory staff (Group 'C') required for Chennai, Salem and Tiruchirappalli Divisions and Head Quarters office of Southern Railway (SR) and Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai.
